2600 - Severability

Each article, section, subsection, requirement, regulation or restriction established by this Ordinance or any amendment thereto is hereby declared to be independent, and if any part of this Ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any other part of this Ordinance.

Section 2601 - Provisions of Ordinance Declared to be Minimum Requirements

In their interpretation and application the provisions of this Zoning Ordinance shall be construed to be minimum requirements for the promotion of the public health, safety, morals and general welfare. Wherever the requirements of this Ordinance are at variance with the requirements of any other lawfully adopted rules, regulations, ordinances, deed restrictions, or covenants, the more restrictive or those imposing the higher standards, shall govern.

Section 2602 - Effective Date

This Ordinance shall take affect upon its adoption and all Ordinances or any parts of Ordinances inconsistent herewith shall be repealed; provided, nevertheless, that the provisions of this Comprehensive Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance are substituted for the prior Zoning Ordinance and are to be considered as a continuance and modification to the prior ordinance rather than as an abrogation of the prior Ordinance and a re-enactment of a new ordinance.
